COUNTABLE & UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS

COUNTABLE NOUNS  (Many apples / Few apples)
(a / one, two, three... / some / the / any / many / How many  / a lot of / more / few / a few)

 Examples:

films cigars watches museums
people buses times records
persons books exams tourists
cats cups children oranges

UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS  (Much money / Little money)
(some / the / any / much / How much / a lot of / more / little / a little)

Examples:

money food research toast garbage rice
snow homework coffee water knowledge  soup
petrol information milk  bread baggage  toothpaste
advice news cheese  furniture equipment  wine
sugar luggage cake  beer accomodation  flour

a glass / bottle of water/ wine / milk
a cup of tea / coffee
a spoonful of sugar / coffee
a slice / piece of bread / cake / toast / cheese
a piece of information / luggage / news / advice / homework / furniture / equipment / baggage / research

UNCOUNTABLE VS. COUNTABLE NOUNS

UNCOUNTABLE COUNTABLE
I like coffee very much. I'd like two coffees, please (= cups of coffee)
His hair is blond. Mum, there's a hair in my soup.
I've got some time. They had a good time.
I never have sugar in my tea. Two sugars in my coffee, please (= cubes of sugar)

  Try to do these exercises, they are not very difficult and you will learn a lot.
