TASK: THE WEATHER FORECAST

 Hello students,

In this task we are going to forecast the weather, to compare the weather today and in a recent past, to make a dialogue with a person speaking about the weather, we are going to role-play the weatherman in the news, to think about our environment, to give some advices and many other things.

So, just now choose one of these tasks and work on it:

1.-  Look for the weather forecast in Zaragoza (Spain) and in London (England) for the coming week.  Take notes about it because your task consist of trying to explain it as if you were the weatherman in the news.  You can use this website for getting the weather forecast and this other one for watching some videos about local forecasts and breaking weather in US.
2.-  Imagine you meet one of your neighbours at the lift.  Write down a possible conversation where the main topic was the weather outside.  Give a colloquial atmosphere to the subject to become the meeting quite real.
3.-  Compare the weather today and in a quite recent past.  You can think in general or you can think of any village, town or part of Spain or any other country or foreign area to tell the differences between the present and past weather as well as your theory about the real reasons for these climate changes.
4.-  Make a prediction about the weather in 2050.  You can visit this website to get a forecast approach about it.  And if you have time, have a look at this powerpoint to know about it.
5.-  Make a list of expressions to speak about the weather in any season of the year and in any day of the year.  Notice that English language has many ways to refer to wet and cloudy weather, so add this kind of expressions to your list.
6.-  A good friend of you is going to travel to Melbourne in Australia next week for fifteen days.  Have a look at this website to know about the weather there with the purpose of giving him/her some good advices about the clothes he/she has to put in his/her suitcase to spend a good holiday in there as well as the weather reasons for recommending those kind of clothes.

Best wishes,
Loli
