In my childhood, the party began in
the previous day evening.
My family prepared the event in a
special way. We turned the television off and we didn't make any noise. Suddenly, my
mother said: “Shut up! It seems that noises are heard”, "Listen up! Footsteps can be heard!" Children got nervous and adults enjoyed a lot, especially my
uncle John who laughed out loud.
My brother and I went up to the bedroom,
in the first floor, two or three times with my uncle, but the shoes full of
wheat continued in the floor of the balcony and these had not been changed for
toys yet. But the next time we went back to our bedroom the gifts had already arrived! Luckily they had remembered us!
With the joy reflected in our faces
and our hands full of presents, my uncle, my
brother and I came down to the living room to open the gifts with my mother, my
aunt, Emily, and my neighbour, Pilar, and everyone of us became children for a day.
Do you know the festivity I am speaking about?
Kisses
