MY LIFE AROUND THE MUSIC - Miguel Rueda

Hi my dear Classmates,

This Evening I'm going to make a speech about my daily work:  Music.
As you can imagine, Music isn´t only an art. It goes further. In my own case, music is a lifestyle. Generally, a performer or musician must make various works for keeping a "musical fitness". We constantly have to study, listening to all kinds of music, although preferably we listen to classical music, that it´s the root and the grounds for the rest. If your wish is being an exceptional musician, you must work hard everyday without exception, even at birthday parties, even if it is yours, your couple's, your best friend's party,...You have to get better at music although you are invited to the wedding of your cousin or some similar celebrations. That is, there aren´t excuses to not improve, study or rehearse each day. Usually, we are displayed ahead of tens of people who look at us, listen to us, assess us, analyse us and even they pay to see how we play an instrument, so we have a concrete compromise and responsibility with those people who always hope our best version. In this sense, we permanently have to get a bigger knowledge, not only musical, and complement it with different subjects related to music, such as society, philosophy, ethics, and take profit of all these conditions to become a great musician and a good person, in all the aspects.

I know that it´s very sacrificed, expensive, sometimes frustrating, but I assure you that you always obtain an amazing recompense to carry on rising in your life.

P.D.1: Next, I invite you to listen to this marvelous piece by one of my favourite composers and later, I would like to know what you have felt after listening to it.

P.D.2: This video is too longer to watch it at class, but I consider that´s very interesting for all my partners, mainly, for those people who don´t listen to music or don´t get a place for it in their lives:

Multiple questions:

Do you listen to music?
If your answer was "Yes", What kind of music inspire you?
What do you feel when you listen to it?
Could you maintain the lifestyle that appears in the writting?
Do you consider music like an out-of-school subject or to the contrary do you think that its study is essential in our lives?
What is your opinion about Classical music?
Have you even gone to a live concert?
Do you play or have played some instrument?
Would do you like to play some of them?
---------------------------------------
We are going to talk about it.
