I was born in a little village in Huesca, whose population did not exceed 200 inhabitats, and there I had a wonderful childhood in a big house inside a small vicinity, which I considered very large because there I was free. I could come in and go out with no problems. I played in the street, I used to ride a bicycle to cross the country and the market garden, I swam in the river, I went out and climbed the mountains, just what I wanted. And everything only with my friends without being my parents there.
I continued my infancy at another village or town which was a bigger one. For me that was a very perfect way of living and I believe that for any children. I remember myself being very happy at that time. I have fond childhood memories...
When I was twelve years old, I went to live to Zaragoza where I enjoyed my teens with everything a city can provide in those years. There I lived with my parents until I created or set up my own home.
I decided to leave the city because I like town life. And I chose to live in La Puebla because it´s a village near Zaragoza, and it has one of the most important industrial estates of the city and it was where I worked.
Here I was be able to buy a detached house with everything I wanted. I can step on the grass, smell the wet ground, hear a bird song in my garden, light the fireplace, have an outdoor dinner. I gather a lot of friends at my house for having a party and another things I like. It gives to me space for a comfortable life.
Now that I have two small daughters, I'd love to give them this way of living so they can enjoy these advantages. Perhaps when they grow up and become teenagers, it will be complicated for studying and for having a good time but this is the only problem when living here.
I think that La Puebla is a complete village. It has a grocer´s shop ("La Evangelina" a shop as they were time ago), haberdashery, hardware store, restaurants, hotels, tobacconist´s, post office, pizzeria, pubs, swiming pool, gift shop, bakerys and sweets shop, taxi driver, residence for the elderly, electrical appliance repair shop, clothes shop, two state bilingual schools, radio, petrol station, banks, jeweller's, photograph shop, medical centre, chemist's, hairdresser's, gym, library, physiotherapist, supermarkets, adult center, mechanical garage, stationery shop, fishmonger's, dentist, greengrocer's and butcher´s shop, financial agency, pet shop, ready-cooked food shop, driving school, state and private nursery school, playroom, hot chocolate serving, even pound Chinese shop, bicycle shop and playing ball park for the children.
Besides this town is only twelve kilometres far or ten minutes long from Zaragoza. Even if you want to ride a bicycle from here to Zaragoza, you can do it. There is one nice and easy track near the Ebro River.
I love Alta street where you can smell the bonfire in winter and where you will see nice flowerpots in springtime. I love the peaceful hermitage and going on a trip to the Alfranca where you will be able to be close to nature and breathe the clean air. These are three of my favourite spots or places in here. I also like very much the Medieval Market which is set up at the park in the August festivities . I try not to lose it!
Although we are living different times, by now I continue thinking there are a lot of differences between living in a town or in a city.
All these aspects are very valuable for me. Everything is quiet around here!. It´s just quality of life!
I am happy living in La Puebla de Alfinden!
Are you happy at your place?
Would you like to move somewhere?
