FINDING YOUR INTERESTS

Hi everybody,

It's known that you can learn English through many different ways and methods.  You can learn English going abroad, watching a film or whatevever program on TV, reading an English article, magazine, newspaper, book or ad, following an English coursebook or just surfing the Net.
Those ways of learning are all possible nowadays, but the most important thing is that you feel motivated about the content of that film, article or composition in a coursebook.   I mean, it will be really interesting that you put on the table any kind of topics you are interested in, in order to  work with them in some way or another along this course.
You can think of subjects in which you are an expert to let them know to the rest of the class, or of subjects you don't know so much but you would be interested in knowing more and more.  Subjects on which you will start a conversation with some friends to find out their opinions or their knowledge.
So, take your time and try to make a list about at least three or four subjects or topics you really like to deal with or to go  into them in depth in this course.
If you prefer, you can work in couples or in groups of three people and try to do a longer list.
Here you are some suggestions:
  • Somewhere to live
  • Traditions and festivities
  • The sense of taste
  • Different ways of earning a living
  • Feeling better
  • The labour market
  • Being a male/female
  • Stages in life
  • Environment
  • Wealth / Poverty
  • ...   ...   ...
Thanks very much indeed,
Loli
