FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK

Last days, I  listened the current new: “The Pogues can now raise a glass of the hard stuff after Fairytale of New York was named the most-played UK Christmas song of the century”.
The lyrics of this song tell the story of a drunkard on Christmas Eve in New York.  It remembers a failed relationship. The monologue becomes a duet between two Irish immigrants, lovers or ex-lovers. They relate their hopes, memories and desires.

Enjoy it and...  Merry Christmas!

Here you are the video only with the lyrics.
