A perfect home for me, by Rosa

First of all, independently of what my ideal house was, it should be a real home, welcoming, personalized and full of life.

I like houses located in a calm place, not too far from the city, with a cellar and a garden. For me both spaces are essential because they give me unique moments in family as well as with friends.

A traditional cellar with a fireplace, one rocking chair,  restored and waxed wooden furniture, antiquities and stone walls.  It would be a cozy corner where I could enjoy alone or in reunion under the warmth of a bonfire.  It would have a big table and a complete kitchen, too.

A big garden with dense green grass to step on,  a lot of beatiful plants and flowers, a swiming pool decorated as a natural place with a cascade and surrounded by vegetation, a hot jacuzzi and a fountain for hearing a waterfall near some weeping willow. Nearby it would be an Ibizan and relaxed space with a white divan and a lot of pillows and curtains. All around the garden different stone colourful dwarfs would be distributed. A completed play set with slides, basketball, trampoline, children's sand box, carousel, seesaw, and other funny plays for my daughters as well as a tire-swing in a big tree. Besides, this leafy tree would have a beautiful hidden cabin in its branches. The garden would have aromatic plants, among its box hedge to breathe the pyrenean smell in my house and deciduous trees to see the autumn and its colours.

For all of this I will need a professional gardener! So I will take care of the garden when I want.

Inside the garage will be a spacious and perfect tool workshop for my husband who is a handyman and repairs everything.

The house would be made of brown stone walls and one of these would be covered in ivy.  Painted and brilliant windows and wooden heart carvered shutters as in a tale cottage, red tiles with a witch weather-vane on the top (I like witches!).  And it would be an inviting conservatory with furniture made of teak wood and a barbecue nearby for summer use.

Inside the house it would be an illuminated big square kitchen with a small working area in the center  to cook. A large extractor hood over the stove, electric fryer, grill, termomix and any electrical appliance that I can need. One spacious bathroom with jacuzzi and a big window in it to relax. A luminous, cheerful and painted in bright colours play room  full of toys for my daughters benefit. In my bedroom I would have a dressing room with all my clothes, shoes and accesories (necklaces, kerchiefs,etc) perfectly ordered for creating an ideal ensemble at every moment. One study full of bookcases with a big desk and a computer just for me.  A friendly guestroom is also essential to enjoy with our friends. One special gambrel roof attic, chillout style, with decorated beams,  a colourful rug, seat cushions, and a lot of pillows for sitting on the floor, candles, etc.. From there we could access to a big terrace with lounge chairs. My ideal house would also have a gym to be in shape. A recreation room with table football, pool, ping pong, darts play, and everything for having a good time with our dear friends. And to finalize, one audiovisual room leading edge of technology to see films, photo presentations, or everything we want, in high quality. My husband would really love these last two things!
 
Necessarily this house would have a housekeeper and a cook, too! so I would have time for enjoying all of it.

For a moment I have thought I had all of this...  Anyway, I have many things, I can't complain...
