Our life-style before and after... by Begoña

Hello classmates,

I am going to speak about how human being life-style has changed due to the evolution of man and the support of transportation.

Firstly, our ancestors invented the wheel in the year three thousand before Christ, and because of this simple object, which meant a great help for the man, the humans could for instance, use horse-draw carriages to transport either people or goods, and they also manage to ease the hard tasks of farm works.

Secondly, many centuries later, with the arrival of steam vehicles the industrial revolution began, and it transformed completely the way of living in our society.  To tell as an example I would say people had to move from their villages and hamlets to the cities in which they would find new opportunities.  Many factories were built and the population grew very fast, whereas the environment got worse and became dirtier.

Thirdly, everything went very quickly.  Transportations such as train, bicycle, car, airplane, ... came to our lives.  All of them made our lives easier.  Also they opened us the world facilitating the communication with the rest of the world.  The man, even has travelled to the space thanks to the spaceships.  This helps us to experiment other ways of living and broaden our horizons.

However, this fact has made that we are running out of natural resources, also that we have lots of pollution.  Therefore unless we respect the environment from now on, we will have to look for life in other planets.

I attach a video from Youtube in which you can see an alternative life-style. Thanks to Pandorapedia.
