On November 1989 Tim
Bernerss-Lee made the first comunication between a client and a server
and he used the HTTP protocol. From then on, Internet hasn't
stopped to be included in society.
Almost every
company, school, government, administration, people... nearly all the world uses
Internet nowadays. You can use it in many different fields, such as:
e-mail; office
network in bussiness, administration, personal; web-sites with a lot of
information; to download film or movies, songs, books, documents, programs...
and of course, you can use whatsapp, an application program which is capable of
exchanging written messages, video, image, voice... just having one
smartphone and a wifi network.
Everything
permits that the world is being smaller and people are more connected
than ever.
Moreover internet is
integrated in vehicles, in different means of transport, for example: train,
plane, ship.. and in airport, station and port comunications, everything
depends on networks.
Also the financial system
uses networks in every transaction, financial operation, and of course in
automatic teller machines (ATMs).
TV and radio utilise
internet in their daily working and some of them even spread an intenet broadcasting.
All the cities are
guarded through an Internet network, such as:
the control of
traffic lights, administrative organization, the consumption of
electricity, gas, water, et cetera.
With this, we can
understand that we depend on the internet and that internet is
integrated in all levels of society.
Then, now the
question is... what if internet never existed? Can you name different
situations where Internet is needed?
